Abstract of the Disclosure: A circular saw hav- ing dual chip cutting action in which all of the saw teeth are of like width and radial height and have similar tooth geometry with the working surface of the leading tooth face disposed at a negative rake angle and having side portions extending outwardly and rearwardly from a cen- tral portion at a negative angle to the side faces of the tooth. A single notch is formed in the top face of each tooth and intersects the working surface, and the notch in alternate ones of the saw teeth are disposed at one side of the central plane of the saw body and the notch in the other alternate ones of the saw teeth are disposed at the other side of the central plane of the saw body.
