CIRCULAR STAY RING FOR ROTARY FLUID MACHINE ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A simplified welded stay ring assembly for rotary machines is disclosed. The stay ring assembly is composed of an upper and lower stay ring connected together by circum- ferentially spaced stay vanes. Each stay ring is circular in cross section. The scroll case of the hydraulic machine which is a volute having a circular cross section has its terminal ends welded to the side of the stay rings.
