. ABSTRACT OF DISCLOSURE An improved food processor and an attachment for an improved food processor for the extraction of juice from citrus fruit the food processor consisting of a base containing an electric driving motor, an electric switch means for controlling the operation of the driving motor and an aperture in the upper surface of the base through which the driving shaft from the motor projects, the processor having a substantially cylindrical food processing container open at its upper end and complementary means on the base of the container whereby the container is removably attached to the upper surface of the base with the driving motor shaft projecting through the hole in the base of the container, the container having a sleeve surrounding the whole and projecting upwardly into the container from an annular liquid containing well around the hole, there by external accessible means on the base associated with the electric switch means, the attachment for making the food processor suitable for the extraction of juice from citrus fruit consisting of an annular trough-like member fitting within the container and having a circumferential flange resting on the upper edge of the container and supporting the trough-like member within the container or a central hole in the trough-like member fitting over the sleeve and the member having apertures in its bottom constructed to permit the passage of the juice of citrus fruit while acting to restrain the passage of pulp and pips associated with the juice, means are provided on the annular member arranged to co-operate with the external accessible means on the base so that unless the annular member is moved rotationally about its access into a predetermined relationship with the base the electric switch means cannot he actuated. Complementary means are provided on the flange and the annular member and the container which act to hold the member to the container when in that relationship. A hollow stem extends through the central hole in the annular member and makes driving connection with the motor shaft, a domed ribbed citrus juice extracting member being provided on the upper end of the shaft and covering the central hole at the bottom of the member.
