There is provided cladding apparatus comprising a body portion (108) having an inner surface (110) and an outer surface (112) extending longitudinally between a leading edge (114) and a trailing edge (116) and transversely between opposed side edges (118). The leading edge (114) is provided with a formation (124) which inter-engages with complementary formation (126) provided on an adjacent body portion thereby permitting the body portions to inter-engage when laid in a longitudinal sequence. The body portion (108) is provided with a pair of longitudinally extending elongate mounting portions (128) on the inner surface (110) thereof. A longitudinal mounting batten (144) is attached to the fascia panel (106) adjacent to the exposed edge of the tiles (104), and into which the elongate mounting portions (128) may slide. A roof batten (132) is laid on the tiles and has on its lower face a plurality of steps which compensate for the overlapping nature of the tiles to provide a level upper face (140) when laid on the tiles (104), the upper face (140) forming a labyrinth with the inner surface (110) to assist in excluding weather in use.
L'invention porte sur un appareil de recouvrement comprenant un corps (108) pourvu d'une surface interne (110) et d'une surface externe (112) qui s'étendent longitudinalement entre un bord avant (114) et un bord arrière (116) et transversalement entre des bords latéraux opposés (118). Le bord avant (114) est constitué d'une formation (124) qui s'encastre dans une formation complémentaire (126) formée sur une partie adjacente du corps et permettant aux parties du corps de s'encastrer lorsqu'elles sont disposées longitudinalement. La partie corps (108) est pourvue d'une paire d'éléments de fixation allongés, longitudinaux (128) sur sa surface interne (110). Un liteau de fixation longitudinal (144) est fixé au panneau de bordure de toit (106) adjacent au bord exposé des tuiles (104), et dans lequel les parties de fixation allongées (128) peuvent coulisser. Un liteau de toit (132) est déposé sur les tuiles et comporte sur sa propre face inférieure une pluralité d'éléments surélevés qui compensent le chevauchement des tuiles afin d'obtenir une face supérieure à niveau (140) lorsqu'ils sont placés sur les tuiles (104), la face supérieure (140) formant un labyrinthe avec la surface interne (110) de manière à faire obstruction aux intempéries, en utilisation.
