ABSTRACT A cladding panel made from elongate ductile sheet and simulating a horizontal row of wooden shingles has an upper edge part arranged to lie against a surface to be covered and has a lower edge part which is flanged to cause the lower portions of the panel to be spaced outward from said surface. The part of the sheet between the upper and lower edge parts is inclined outwards from top to bottom and is formed with raised shingle simulating portions alternating along the length of the panel with depressed shingle simulating portions, the planes of these portions being parallel. Oblique web portions extend between adjoining edges of the shingle simulating portions and taper in width from the lower to the upper edge part of the panel.
