A wall anchor system is provided for a building of the type having a cladding system thereon wherein an outside wall structure is located on the exterior of a building and at least one insulation member located on the outside wall for retaining heat in the building. A cladding system is provided to cover the insulation including a plurality of wall anchor members and an elongated strip for extending across and attachment to the fastening member of more than one wall anchoring member. The wall anchors each comprise a flat back plate for attachment to the outside wall structure by a fastener, a wall anchor plate portion extending at a right angle from the back plate and a fastening member of the wall anchoring member extending downwardly at a right angle from the wall anchor member portion.
