23422-119 Abstract A clamp for connecting formwork panels, which are arranged side by side in a plane and have edge profiles, particular- ly hollow profiles or the like, extending around their edges, has two gripping jaws which are adapted to pivot against, and urge together, the oppositely facing surfaces of the abutting edge pro- files. The clamp has an actuating member for pivoting these gripping jaws. At the end remote from the clamping point of the gripping jaws, the latter in each case have an adjusting arm arranged at an angle thereto. These adjusting arms of the two gripping jaws are directed towards one another and both gripping jaws are pivotably mounted on a bracket approximately in the corner area of the adjusting arms. The ends of the two adjusting arms overlap and in the region where the two adjusting arms overlap both are jointly engaged by an eccentric, the pivot or swivel bearing of the eccentric being slidable perpendicular to the forming surface.
