A clamp for use with metal bar joists (or beams) has one or more steel angled bracket members or plates, adapted to fit under the corrugations of a corrugated steel roof. Each plate of the clamp is adapted to sit horizontally across a top of the bar joist perpendicular to the joist, and extend slightly over an edge of the joist. Each plate contains an elongate slot allowing a bolt to be inserted through the slot. A retainer heel clip is secured to an end of each such bolt. This retainer heel clip is tightened to the underside of the top flange of the bar joist using a washer and a threaded plate or nut, thus providing a clamping action. Each clamp has a vertical attachment tongue section of steel welded to it, including one or more elongate slots which complement perforations that occur along the length of a steel framing angle, allowing bolts to attach the clamp and the framing angle together. A pair of the clamps may be used to secure a pair of support angles for supporting a rod for hanging objects at desired locations within a roof support structure.
L'invention concerne une bride destinée à être utilisée avec des poutrelles (ou des poutres) métalliques, cette bride comportant un ou plusieurs éléments ou plaques supports en acier formant des angles, conçus pour s'adapter sous les rainures d'un toit d'acier ondulé. Chaque plaque de la bride est conçue pour être posée à l'horizontale à travers une partie supérieure d'une poutrelle perpendiculaire à la poutrelle et dépasser légèrement le bord de la poutrelle. Chaque plaque est dotée d'une fente allongée permettant l'insertion d'un boulon, une agrafe de talon de retenue étant fixée à une extrémité de chaque boulon. Cette agrafe de talon de retenue est serrée sur la face inférieure de la semelle supérieure de la poutrelle au moyen d'une rondelle et d'une plaque ou gorge filetée, créant ainsi une fixation. Sur chaque bride est soudée une partie languette de fixation verticale en acier, qui comporte une ou plusieurs fentes correspondant aux perforations existant sur la longueur d'un angle de charpente en acier, permettant ainsi aux boulons de fixer ensemble la bride et l'angle de charpente. Une paire de brides peut être utilisée pour fixer une paire d'angles supports, afin de supporter une barre destinée à la suspension d'objets en des emplacements voulus dans la structure support du toit.
