Abstract of the Disclosure A clamping and drawing device for movement of elong- ated metal workpieces in relation to metal working machines, such as metal peeling machines, draw benches and the like, in which the device includes a pair of movable clamping carriages for each workpiece; and linear guides or channels extending generally parallel to each other and to the direction of move- ment of the workpiece and the clamping carriages. Each clamping carriage includes a pair of clamping jaws adapted to move generally radially of the workpiece for gripping engage- ment therewith. The linear guides are elongated and co-extend substantially over the complete drawing path of the machine.
