An apparatus for use in clamping a structure at its edge, the structure having opposed surfaces, the apparatus comprising a stanchion, a first clamping assembly attached to the stanchion and a second clamping assembly selectively slidably moveable longitudinally along the stanchion, the second clamping assembly including a support plate extending laterally outward in a direction away from the, stanchion, the support plate being positioned closely adjacent one of the opposed surfaces of the structure when the structure is clamped between the first and second clamping assemblies.
L'invention concerne un appareil à utiliser pour serrer une structure, au niveau de son bord, cette structure présentant des surfaces opposées. L'appareil de l'invention comprend un montant, un premier assemblage de serrage fixé au montant, et un second assemblage de serrage sélectivement mobile de manière coulissante longitudinalement le long du montant, le second assemblage de serrage comprenant une plaque de support s'étendant latéralement vers l'extérieur, dans une direction s'éloignant du montant, la plaque de support étant positionnée étroitement adjacente à une des surfaces opposées de la structure, lorsque la structure est serrée entre un premier assemblage de serrage et un second assemblage de serrage.
