A clamping apparatus allowing an operator to securely position and clamp a cut- off die set (10) to the carriage (12) of a cut-off press (14). The clamping arrangement includes outwardly beveled sides (44, 46) on the die set (10) coacting with an inwardly beveled step (30) and an inwardly beveled eccentric clamping member (34). The clamping member (34) being rotatable to allow the die set (10) to be placed in the proper position on the carriage (12). After positioning the die set (10) on the carriage (12), the eccentric clamping members (34) are rotated to contact the outwardly beveled edge (44) of the platen (17) thereby wedging the platen (17) between the stop (30) and the eccentric clamping members (34).
