The invention provides a clamp assembly for mounting an attachment to a conveyor chain including a plurality of pin- interconnected links that each include a pair of identical loop- like side bars made of non-metallic material. The clamp assembly provides a non-pin connected arrangement for mounting the attachment to the chain and includes several clamping members that are positioned to clamp the side bars of one of the links therebetween.
