ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE In a clamping arrangement for sliding gates at the discharge of metallurgical vessels for cushioning the bracing between a gate housing and a housing cover by means of clamping elements which connect both parts, which are hinged to the housing and which grip underneath the housing cover, there are provided bending springs as link members for the clamping elements. This arrangement results in a simple construction of the bracing system as a result of the dual manner of functioning of the bending springs.
