A clamping device is disclosed for releasably joining two sections (1, 4) of which one (1) has an undercut longitudinal groove (2) and the other (4) has a box-shaped hollow section (5) in which a clamping part (6) is inserted with a hammer head (7) that engages the longitudinal groove (2) from behind and delimits the same. The clamping part (6) has a slanting surface (11) that extends transversely to its longitudinal axis and that co-operates with a clamping screw (15) with a conical point accessible through an opening (14) in the hollow section (5). In order to simplify the design of the clamping device, the clamping part (6) forms a single piece and consists of the head part (8), the tie rod (10) and an elastic loop (9) bent through at least 180· that interconnects the head part (8) and the tie rod (10). The elasticity of the loop (9) is sufficient to disengage the head part (8) with the hammer head (7) when the clamping screw (15) is loosened. Instead of the clamping screw (15) an eccentric may also be provided.

La pièce de serrage (6) comprend une surface inclinée (11) transversale par rapport à son axe longitudinal qui coopère avec une vis de serrage (15) à pointe conique. La vis de serrage (15) est accessible par une ouverture (14) du profil creux (5). Afin de simplifier la construction du dispositif de serrage, la pièce de serrage (6) est constituée d'une seule pièce et comprend une pièce à tête (8), un tirant (10) et une boucle élastique (9) recourbée sur au moins 180~ qui relie la pièce à tête (8) au tirant (10).
