The invention relates to a clamping device, in particular to a cable clamping device for telecommunications technology and data systems technology. The object of the invention is to develop a clamping device of the generic type which ensures that objects having different diameters are clamped simply and reliably and without the risk of an impermissibly high degree of pinching of the object. This is achieved by using a clamping device having a clamping member with a basic body and at least one clamping arm extending from the side of the body. The object to be clamped is inserted into the clamping member. The clamping device also has a sleeve having cutouts into which at least one of the clamping arms of the clamping member engages. By rotating the sleeve relative to the member, the at least one clamping arm reduces a clamping inside-diameter of the clamping member.
