A clamping member, for holding a device such as a shoulder rest onto an instrument such as a violin, has a core of molded plastic material in the form of a yoke with a main central portion and spaced hook formations providing recesses above an upper surface of the main central portion and which can receive projecting edges of the instrument, and a shaft molded integrally with the core and projecting from an underside of the yoke opposite the upper surface. In accordance with the invention, the clamping member has a covering of rubbery material molded onto the core to completely cover the hook formations and any adjacent parts of the yoke which can contact an instrument engaged by the hook formations. The core includes small projections generally corresponding in height to the thickness of the covering and which serve to maintain the position of the core in a mold while the covering is molded in place.
Dispositif d'ancrage permettant de fixer un dispositif comme une épaulière sur un instrument, tel un violon. Le dispositif, en forme d'étrier, est moulé dans du plastique et comprend une partie principale centrale et des crochets espacés qui forment des creux au-dessus de la surface supérieure de la partie centrale. Les crochets ont pour rôle de recevoir les bords saillants de l'instrument. Le corps du dispositif comporte également une tige moulée intégrée, qui se prolonge à partir du dessous de l'étrier à l'opposé de la surface supérieure. Le corps du dispositif d'ancrage est recouvert d'un matériau caoutchouteux, appliqué par moulage, couvrant complètement les crochets et toute partie adjacente de l'étrier qui peut entrer en contact avec l'instrument auquel le dispositif est fixé. Le corps du dispositif est garni en outre de petites projections dont la hauteur correspond généralement à l'épaisseur du revêtement caoutchouteux. Ces projections servent à maintenir le corps du dispositif en position dans un moule pendant le moulage du revêtement.
