A clamping pin (1) is intended to be inserted into and held in an opening of a medical device. Said clamping pin (1) comprises a screw (5) having a longitudinal axis (100), a first clamping element (2) having an inclined surface (23) that is inclined to the longitudinal axis (100) and providing a first part (24) of a clamping section (10), and a second clamping element (3) having an inclined surface (33) that is inclined to the longitudinal axis (100) and providing a second part (34) of the clamping section (10) which clamping section (10) is complementary to said opening. The inclined surface (23) of the first clamping element (2) is in contact with the inclined surface (33) of the second clamping element (3). The screw (5) extends at least partly through the second clamping element (3) and at least partly through the first clamping element (2), which screw (5) engages in one of the clamping elements (2, 3) such that the axial distance between the clamping pins (2, 3) and the diameter of the clamping section (10) that can come in contact with the sur- face of the opening will be changed upon actuation of the screw (5).
