ABSTRACT OF DISCLOSURE The invention concerns devices in which work- pieces are held by cams which are rotatably accommodated in holes in a base until their working surface urges the workpiece against an abutment means, which may be fixed adjustable. The devices of the invention may be in the form of clamps and jigs, particularly mitre clamps for making right angle joints in, for example, wood for picture framing, universal jigs for holding workpieces of any size or shape, and welding jigs for holding parts to be welded at any desired angle.
