This invention relates to a novel method of jointing components by means of a moulded clasp. The new clasp jointing method is especially useful for jointing ornamental and architectural framing components. The method is suitable for jointing a plurality of components in a single junction. This invention also relates to a method of producing the moulded clasp from wood. The method involves conditioning the wood by plasticization prior to pressing between forming dies.
