CLASPING DEVICE Abstract of the Disclosure A clasping device comprises a body and a manipulat- able lever device pivotally connected to the body. The body has at least two connecting members extending between a pair of side plate members. One of the connecting members can contact a strap connected to the lever device during normal use to hold the lever device firmly in a locked position. The other of the connecting members can contact the strap, if the assembly is turned upside down, to hold the lever device in the locked position. A large part of the lever device is housed between the side plate members of the body substantially parallel to the body in the locked position, whereby the de- vice is easy to handle, firm and resistant to large loads.
