A method for manufacturing a clean air duct (150) includes the steps of providing at least two tubular bodies (152, 156) having at least one open end(153, 157), each said open end having an annular ring (168, 168a) which terminates at an inwardly extending lip (166, 166a); closing an injection mold (210) around each annular ring; injecting a polymeric material into the injection mold to form a cuff (160) around the annular rings, thereby connecting the tubular bodies to form an air duct; opening the injection mold and, removing the air duct from the injection mold. Clean air ducts (10) for interconnecting an air filter to a throttle body comprise a blow molded tubular body (12) with at least one open end (14,16), the open end having an annular ring (72) which terminates at an inwardly extending lip (86) and, connecting means (30) molded around and secured lo the annular ring, and the lip. Another clean air duct (150) comprisesa pair of tubular bodies (152, 156), each tubular body having a pair of opposed ends (153, 154, 155, 157), at least one of the opposed ends of each tubular bodyhaving an annular ring (168, 168a) which terminates at an inwardly extending lip(166); and a cuff (160) connecting the annular rings and the inwardly extending lips.

Méthode de fabrication d'un conduit d'air pur (150) comprenant les étapes suivantes : utiliser au moins deux corps tubulaires (152, 156) munis d'au moins une extrémité ouverte (153, 157), chacune de ces extrémités ouvertes comprenant un anneau (168, 168a) muni d'un bec se prolongeant vers l'intérieur (166, 166a); mettre en place un moule d'injection (210) autour de chaque anneau; injecter un polymère dans le moule d'injection pour former un manchon (160) autour des anneaux et relier les corps tubulaires de manière à former un conduit d'air; ouvrir le moule d'injection; retirer le conduit d'air du moule d'injection. Les conduits d'air pur (10) servant à interrelier un filtre à air et un élément d'étranglement comportent un corps tubulaire moulé par soufflage (12) muni d'au moins une extrémité ouverte (14, 16), celle-ci présentant un anneau (72) terminé par un bec se prolongeant vers l'intérieur (86), et un dispositif de connexion (30) moulé autour de l'anneau (auquel il est solidement assujetti) et autour du bec. Un autre conduit d'air pur (150) comprend une paire de corps tubulaires (152, 156), chacun d'entre eux présentant une paire d'extrémités opposées (153, 154, 155, 157), au moins l'une de celles-ci pour chaque corps tubulaire étant munie d'un anneau (168, 168a) à bec saillant vers l'intérieur (166); et un manchon (160) reliant les anneaux et les becs.
