An improved diesel fuel based on a blend of biodiesel and ultra-low sulfur diesel fuel, particularly with a fuel additive containing a concentrate containing fuel borne catalyst (FBC). The catalyst will preferably comprise platinum and/or cerium and/or iron, and the ultra-low sulfur diesel fuel will preferably contain less than 10% aromatics. The biodiesel is typically employed in an amount of about 20% of the blend.

L'invention concerne un carburant diesel amélioré qui comprend un mélange de biodiesel et de carburant diesel à faible teneur en soufre, en particulier avec un additif de carburant qui comporte un concentré contenant un catalyseur de carburant de type FBC ("fuel borne catalyst"). Le catalyseur comprend de préférence du platine et/ou du cérium et/ou du fer, et le carburant diesel à faible teneur en soufre contient de préférence moins de 10 % d'hydrocarbures aromatiques.
