ABSTRACT Aqueous cleaning compositions of viscosity >180 centipoises at 20°C are provided containing a trialkyl amine oxide of formula R1R2R3N?O, where 13 < R1 ? 18 and R2 and R3 are C1-C4 alkyl, as the sole surfactant at a level of 0.5% to 5.0% by weight of the composition. The compositions also incorporate one or more ionisable water soluble compounds to provide an ionic strength of 3.0 g moles/dm3 minimum, and in preferred embodiments this is provided by an alkali metal hypochlorite bleach component.
