Cleaning device for flat surfaces, comprising an elongated cleaning element and a guide member transversely affixed thereto, whereby the guide member is transversely moveable relative to the cleaning element. This allows adjustment of the portion of the cleaning element which is respectively laterally projecting from the guide member so that narrow spaces behind projections or under covers can be reached which are too small to permit insertion of the whole cleaning element and guide member combination.
