A cleaning device and method for cleaning a paper path surface upon which paper travels within a printing apparatus such as a computer printer, a photocopy machine, a fax machine, and the like. The cleaning device is a flexible substrate sheet (10) having a first side (14) and a second side (18), with the first side (14) coated preferably in its entirety with an exposed adhesive (12) having a tack strength between about 0.0002 and about 0.12 pound force-square inch. The second side of the substrate sheet can have laminated thereto a foam resin (16) to provide a flexible thickness that assures pressured contact with all paper path surfaces to be cleaned. A lint-free cloth layer (20) can be laminated to the foam resin (16) if present, or the cloth layer can be laminated directly to the second surface of the sheet substrate (18). The substrate sheet is fed into the printing apparatus and travels therethrough along the paper path surfaces upon which paper is conveyed.
Cette invention se rapporte à un dispositif nettoyant et à un procédé correspondant, qui permettent de nettoyer la surface d'avance du papier sur laquelle passe le papier dans un appareil d'impression, tel qu'une imprimante d'ordinateur, une photocopieuse, une machine de télécopie et similaire. Ce dispositif nettoyant est constitué par une feuille souple (10) présentant une première face (14) et une seconde face (18), la première face (14) étant de préférence enduite sur toute sa surface d'un adhésif exposé (12) ayant une force d'adhérence comprise entre 0,0002 environ et 0,12 environ de livre-force par pouce carré. Sur la seconde face de la feuille peut être déposée une couche de résine mousse (16) pour conférer une épaisseur souple à la feuille qui lui assure un contact sous pression avec toutes les surfaces d'avance du papier devant être nettoyées. Une couche de toile non pelucheuse (20) peut être déposée sur la résine mousse (16) le cas échéant, où la couche de toile peut être déposée directement sur la seconde surface de la feuille (18). La feuille est introduite dans l'appareil d'impression et avance dans ledit appareil le long des surfaces de passage du papier sur lesquelles avance le papier.
