A tool that is useful for cleaning and disinfecting the attachment surfaces of a fluid connector device used in medi-cal applications, the tool having a housing with an opening of defined shape and a chemically treated flexible insert positionable inside the housing that substantially conforms to the inside wall of the housing and, when placed over the attachment surfaces of a fluid connector device, can be manipulated axially and rotationally relative to the attachment surfaces to contact, clean and disin-fect the surfaces. Some embodiments can also be used for topical cleaning of skin or other surfaces.

L'invention concerne un outil qui peut servir à nettoyer et à désinfecter les surfaces de fixation d'un dispositif connecteur fluide utilisé dans des applications médicales, l'outil ayant un logement avec une ouverture d'une forme définie et une pièce rapportée flexible traitée chimiquement pouvant être positionnée à l'intérieur du logement qui se conforme sensiblement à la paroi intérieure du logement et, quand il est placé sur les surfaces de fixation d'un dispositif connecteur fluide, qui peut être manipulé axialement et par rotation par rapport aux surfaces de fixation pour entrer en contact avec les surfaces ainsi que pour les nettoyer et les désinfecter.
