A cleaning tool has a scrubbing head secured to the end of a rod. The scrubbing head includes a plate and a fibrous pad mounted on the plate. The pad is oversized relative to the plate and extends one-half inch the sides of the plate. Both the plate and the pad have a chamfered end which is bounded by three linear segments.
