-11- ABSTRACT A cleaning utensil, particularly a brush for incorporation in a vacuum cleaner nozzle, has a roller (1) with bristles mounted at its ends in bearings in a utensil housing. In order to restrict penetration of hairs and like contaminants picked up by the bristles into the bearings, the roller (1) is provided with at least one transverse circumferential depression (4,5).
