2148097 9412598 PCTABS00032 Mixed nonionic/anionic surfactants which comprise polyhydroxy fatty acid amides and their sulfated analogs are used in various cleaning functions where low sudsing is desired. Thus, C10-C22 fatty acid N-alkyl glucamides are partly sulfated to form mixtures of the nonionic glucamide and the anionic glucamide sulfate. The resulting mixtures exhibit good cleaning of fabrics, dishware, skin and hair.
