A liquid personal cleansing composition comprising: (a) from about 1 % to about 15 % by weight of short chain alkyl sulphate surfactant having an average from 8 to 10 carbon atoms on the alkyl chain and mixtures thereof; (b) from about 1 % to about 15 % by weight of C12 to C22 alkyl ethoxy sulphate surfactant having an average degree of ethoxylation of from about 1 to about 6; (c) from about 0.1 % to about 10 % of water-soluble auxiliary surfactant selected from anionic surfactant other than C8 to C10 alkyl sulphate, nonionic, zwitterionic and amphoteric and mixtures thereof; and optionally (d) from about 0.01 % to about 5 % of cationic conditioning polymer; and (e) water; wherein the ratio of short chain alkyl sulphate to alkyl ethoxy sulphate is in the range of from about 1:3 to about 3:1, more preferably from about 2:1 to about 1:2. The products demonstrate excellent in-use efficacy benefits including mildness, a moisturised skin feel, excellent rinsibility and good product stability and lather attributes.

L'invention concerne une composition nettoyante liquide destinée à l'hygiène personnelle, comprenant : (a) 1 % environ à 15 % environ en poids d'un tensioactif de sulfate d'alkyle à chaîne courte ayant en moyenne 8 à 10 atomes de carbone dans la chaîne alkyle, et des mélanges de celui-ci; (b) 1 % environ à 15 % environ en poids d'un tensioactif d'alkyléthoxysulfate ayant un alkyle à C¿12? à C¿22? atomes de carbone et un degré d'éthoxylation allant d'environ 1 à environ 6; (c) 0,1 % environ à 10 % environ d'un tensioactif auxiliaire hydrosoluble choisi parmi des tensioactifs anioniques autres que des tensioactifs de sulfate d'alkyle, ou des tensioactifs non ioniques, zwitterioniques et amphotères, ainsi que leurs mélanges; éventuellement (d) de 0,01 % environ à 5 % environ d'un polymère cationique servant d'agent revitalisant, et (e) de l'eau. Dans cette formulation, le rapport entre sulfate alkyle à chaîne courte et l'alkyléthoxysulfate sulfate est de l'ordre de 1:3 environ à 3:1 environ et, de préférence, de 2:1 environ à 1:2 environ. Ces produits offrent de remarquables avantages sur le plan de l'efficacite à l'usage, au nombre desquels, leur douceur pour la peau, une sensation d'hydratation de la peau, une grande facilité de rinçage ainsi qu'une bonne stabilité et un fort pouvoir moussant.
