There is described a process for cleansing contaminants, such as oil, PCB, PAH, heavy metals and the like, from a heterogeneous material, such as sand, gravel, earth, oil gravel, asphalt, drill borings ("kaks") and the like. More specifically the invention relates to a process comprising the steps: i) that a sorption agent is added to the material, and that the material and the sorption agent are mixed/kneaded sufficiently for a considerable portion of the contamination to be extracted from the material and absorbed by the sorption agent, and that ii) thereafter the sorption agent is separated from the material on the basis of specific gravity/particle size by means of an applied flow of gas, so that the sorption agent is led with the flow and can be collected in a separate fraction.
On décrit un procédé de nettoyage de contaminants, tels que de l'huile, des groupes de chlore ou de brome ou des composés aromatiques, des métaux lourds et analogues, à partir d'un matériau hétérogène tel que du sable, du gravier, de la terre, du gravier de filtre, de l'asphalte, des gâteaux de filtration et similaires. L'invention concerne plus particulièrement un procédé comprenant les étapes consistant: i) à ajouter audit matériau un agent de sorption, et à mélanger/malaxer suffisamment le matériau et l'agent de sorption, afin de pouvoir extraire du matériau une portion très importante de contaminants et que ceux-ci soient absorbés par l'agent de sorption, et ii) à séparer ensuite l'agent de sorption du matériau, sur la base de la gravité spécifique/dimension particulaire, en appliquant un courant de gaz, afin que l'agent de sorption soit entraîné avec le courant et puisse être recueilli dans une fraction séparée.
