ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A clearance measuring apparatus is disclosed for mount- ing on a set jig for holding a component part which is to be assembled with a main product body to measure the clearance bet- ween the component part assembly portion of the product main body and the component part. The apparatus comprises a sta- tionary claw fixed to the set jig and arranged to be brought into engagement with the circumferential edge of the component part, a movable claw which is movable in the clearance measur- ing direction and which is arranged to be brought into engage- ment with the circumferential edge of the component part assembly portion and detecting means for detecting the displacement of the movable claw in relation to the stationary claw.
