The present invention relates to specific methods of producing cleated rubber- backed floor mats (such as dust control or rubber mats) through the utilization of the combination of a perforated coated woven fabric article (14) and a cushioned platen liner between the article and the metal platen of an in-line dust control mat manufacturing machine. Such a procedure permits a more efficient manner of producing cleated anti-creep dust control mats than previously followed. In particular, the fabric article is in the form of a conveyor belt (16) and is preferably constructed from Teflon (R) -coated woven fiberglass which will not adhere to the tacky rubber component of the target mat and can withstand the extremely high vulcanization temperatures and pressures required during the production of a dust control mat. Further, a method for utilizing the conveyor belt to produce foam rubber cleated anti- creep mats is disclosed. The cleats (24) of these mats have a thicker skin than the rest of the mat, thereby imparting enough strength and structural integrity so that the foam rubber mats may withstand the daily rigors of use, combined with periodic launderings. The produced mat as well as the woven fabric article/cushioned platen liner combination are also encompassed within this invention.
L'invention concerne des procédés spécifiques de production de tapis de sol à dossier en caoutchouc à reliefs (tels que des tapis antipoussière ou en caoutchouc), au moyen de la combinaison d'un article en textile non tissé revêtu et perforé et d'une garniture de platine rembourrée entre l'article et la platine métallique d'une machine de fabrication à la chaîne de tapis anti-poussière. Ladite procédure permet la production plus efficace qu'auparavant de tapis antipoussières antidérapants. L'article en textile se présente sous la forme d'une courroie de transport et est fabriqué, de préférence, à partir de fibres de verre tissées revêtues de Téflon®, qui n'adhèrent pas au composant caoutchouteux collant du tapis cible et qui peuvent résister aux températures de vulcanisation et pressions extrêmement élevées nécessaires pendant la production d'un tapis antipoussière. La garniture de platine rembourrée, qui est de préférence constituée ou revêtue de silicium, est utilisée comme un séparateur entre la platine métallique de la machine de fabrication, et comme amortisseur pour le caoutchouc fondu, lorsqu'il est comprimé dans les perforations de la courroie de transport, pendant la vulcanisation. Ledit matériau de garniture rembourré élimine sensiblement tous les problèmes dus à la force de la platine métallique contre le caoutchouc fondu, à mesure qu'il passe dans les perforations de l'article. De plus, un procédé d'utilisation de la courroie de transport pour la production de tapis antidérapants en caoutchouc-mousse est décrit. Les reliefs desdits tapis présentent une croûte plus épaisse que le reste du tapis, ce qui confère une force et une intégrité suffisantes, de manière que les tapis en caoutchouc-mousse résistent aux contraintes d'utilisation quotidiennes ainsi qu'à des nettoyages périodiques. Le tapis produit ainsi que la combinaison article en textile tissé/garniture de platine rembourrée sont également décrits.
