Cleavage of BIP (Immunoglobulin binding protein) by subtilase toxin and its application to inhibiting growth of or killing of cells. This has application to treatment of cancers and to conformational diseases and in particular to conformational diseases involving BiP that are influenced by cleavage by the subtilase cytotoxin. The invention also relates to subtilase toxin molecules specifically targeting proliferating cells, in particular tumor cells, or cells expressing a vascular endothelial growth factor receptor.
L'invention concerne un procédé de clivage d'un BIP (protéine de liaison à l'immunoglobuline) par une toxine subtilase, et son application pour inhiber la croissance de certaines cellules ou pour tuer certaines cellules. L'invention s'applique au traitement de cancers et de maladies post-transcriptionnelles, et en particulier au traitement de maladies post-transcriptionnelles impliquant BIP qui sont influencées par un clivage effectué par une cytotoxine subtilase. L'invention concerne également des molécules de toxine subtilase ciblant spécifiquement des cellules de prolifération, en particulier des cellules tumorales, ou des cellules exprimant un récepteur de facteur de croissance de l'endothélium vasculaire.
