A new and improved clinical critical care path system (10), which can be tailored readily for a given patient diagnosis for either single or combined medical and/or surgical diagnoses. The clinical information system (10) stores critical care information for various patient diagnoses and retrieves them for a given patient. Treatment information is tailored to a given patient by enabling selected treatment information to be edited. Where multiple diagnoses are present, the prescribed or ordered treatment plans for each diagnosis are merged for a given patient, and potential conflicts are determined for any ordered activity. Upon determination of a conflict, patient treatment information is repeated on separate display lines to allert the healthcare provider to permit the healthcare provider to analyze the conflict and to determine what order or orders should be entered. Customized multiple diagnosis treatment information can then be entered and stored for a given patient.
L'invention concerne un nouveau système amélioré (10) de trajet critique pour l'administration de soins cliniques qui peut facilement être adapté au diagnostic d'un patient donné en vue d'un traitement médical et/ou chirurgical. Le système d'information clinique (10) enregistre l'information de traitement critique pour les différents diagnostics faits sur le patient et les récupère pour un patient donné. L'information de traitement est adaptée à un patient donné en permettant l'édition d'une information de traitement sélectionnée. Dans le cas de diagnostics multiples, les schémas de traitement prescrits ou ordonnés pour chaque diagnostic sont fusionnés pour un patient donné et les conflits potentiels sont déterminés pour les différents traitements. Lorsqu'un conflit est identifié, l'information concernant le traitement du patient est répétée sur des lignes d'affichage séparées pour alerter le spécialiste médical, afin qu'il détermine quel ordre ou quels ordres doivent être exécutés. L'information concernant le traitement personnalisé d'un patient donné à diagnostic multiple peut être mémorisée et conservée.
