The present invention relates to a family of white clinker compositions with a high capacity of fixing sulphur coming from a high sulphur content pet-coke used as a fuel, which further exhibits low fuel consumption and fast setting, which comprises the amounts of clinker phases in percentage by weight: 3CaO.cndot.SiO2 (C3S) : about 40 to about 75, 2CaO.cndot.SiO2 (C2S) : about 10 to about 35, 3CaO.cndot.Al2O3 (C3A) : about 0 to about 15, CaO.cndot.SO3 (C~) : about 0 to about 10, 4CaO.cndot.3Al2O3.cndot.SO3 (C4A3~) : about 2 to about 15, 11CaO.cndot.7Al2O3.cndot.CaF2 (C11A7.cndot.CaF2) : about 0 to about 5, total % CaF2 : about 0.3 to about 1.5 measured as CaF2, %Fe2O3: about 0 to about 0.5, and a SO3 content between about 1.5 and about 5% by weight obtained through the calcination of a raw meal mainly comprising CaO, SiO2, Al2O3 and CaF2, using as fuel, pet-coke with a sulphur content higher than about 5% at temperatures between about 2192 and about 2462°F, without the addition of any additive containing SO3 in the raw meal.
