- 10 - "CLIP FOR A TELEPHONE JACK PLUG" ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A clip for a telephone jack plug comprises a U-shaped member having a spanning portion and two depend- ing legs from the ends of the spanning portion spaced so as to span a telephone jack plug box or receptacle. One of the legs includes a slot extending from the remote end toward the spanning portion so as to define two fingers depending from the spanning portion separated by the width of the slot. The width of the slot is of the order of 1/4 inch so as to span the telephone wire while the leg engages the rear face of the jack plug so as to bias the jack plug into the box.
