In a tool used to secure loads on trailers for transport, namely a chain, a device called a "binder" is used on the end of the chain to tighten the chain and make the load secure. According to traffic laws in Canada, the aforementioned binder must in itself be secured in such a way as not to be able to open during transit. This is usually done by tying wire around the handle of the binder until the handle cannot be opened before the wire is removed. Wire, however, does not work well in this application. Therefore something better was needed and this new concept was invented. This new invention, the "binder clip", takes the place of the wire, and is easier to use, will not fall oil is not as easy to lose, and it makes the binder secure, which is not always the case with wire.
