ABSTRACT This invention provides a special clock monitoring pin dedicated to the task of clock monitoring allowing measurement of single chip clock delay as well as variations in skew between different chip clock monitor outputs. The system clock input is connected directly to the clock fan-out bus which itself is connected directly to the clock monitoring pin.
