-35- CLONED GENE ENCODING RAT D18 DOPAMINE RECEPTOR Abstract Disclosed is isolated DNA encoding a D18-dopamine receptor selected from the group consisting of: (a) isolated DNA which encodes rat D18-dopamine receptor; (b) isolated DNA which hybridizes to isolated DNA of (a) above and which encodes a D18-dopamine receptor: and (c) isolated DNA differing from the isolated DNAs of (a) and (b) above in codon sequence due to the degeneracy of the genetic code, and which encodes a D18 dopamine receptor. Vectors and host cells containing the same, assay procedures employing D18-dopamine receptors, oligonucleotide probes for identifying D18-dopamine receptors, and isolated and purified D18-dopamine receptors are also disclosed.
