An injection mold apparatus (10) has multiple injection zones, each zone having at least one heater and at least one temperature sensor generating a temperature indicating signal. A power source provides power to the heaters. A controller (22) controls the temperature of at least some of the zones. For efficiency, the controller has two separate processors, a data-receiving processor for receiving temperature indicating signal from each sensor as well as power signals, and a control processor for receiving data from the data- receiving processor and for controlling the amount of power provided to the heaters. Preferably, the control is in a housing (30), with the housing mounted directly on the mold. Modified PID calculations are utilized. Power calculations for the amount of power to the heaters utilizes a modulo based algorithm.

L'invention concerne une machine de moulage par injection à plusieurs zones d'injection. Chaque zone comporte au moins un dispositif chauffant et au moins un capteur de température fournissant un signal de température. Une source d'énergie alimente les dispositifs chauffants. Un système de commande contrôle la température d'au moins un certain nombre de zones. Par souci d'efficacité, on équipe ce système de deux processeurs distincts : un processeur de réception de données recevant les signaux de température de la part de chaque capteur et les signaux de puissance, et un processeur de commande recevant les données de la part du processeur de réception des données et contrôlant la quantité de puissance fournie aux dispositifs chauffants. De préférence, le système de commande est logé dans un boîtier monté directement sur le moule. La régulation repose sur un calcul proportionnel, intégral, dérivé (PID) modifié. Les calculs de puissance permettant de déterminer la quantité de puissance fournie aux dispositifs chauffants reposent sur un algorithme modulo.
