ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE The present invention relates to packaging in generally rectangular form made from at least one multi-layer strip shaped into a tube having longitudinal margins that overlap and are sealed together. The inside layer of thermoplastic layer of one strip has a protective flap projecting from the longitudinal margin thereof situated inside the packaging, the flap being folded outwards and adhering to an adjacent marginal zone of the strip, while the "outside" other margin of the strip has its inside layer overlying at least a portion of the folded-over flap and heat-sealed to the outside face of the inside margin via the folded-over flap and the thermoplastic inside layer of the outside margin.
