A combined hammer and snip for use with strip metal banding is disclosed. The improvement consists of a protrusion attached to an arm of a pair of tin snips, allowing quicker and more positive securing of band clamps. The protrusion also allow for cutting sheet metal with less effort than a conventional pair of snips.
