CLOSET DRIER WITH LIQUID ABSORBING AND IMMOBILIZING MATERIAL ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A closet drier including a container having a closed body, an opening in the body, a cover on the body which can be manipulated to open the opening selectively variable amounts to expose the inside of the container to the environment in which it is located, an upper chamber in the body containing deliquescent material, the upper chamber including upper and lower foraminous walls to expose the deliquescent material to the environment and permit liquid which is formed therein to flow into the lower chamber, and packets of liquid absorbing and immobilizing material in the lower chamber to absorb and immobilize the solution which flows into it.
