ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE An apparatus for the separation of finely-divided materials characterized in that it has a chamber for the separa- tion of finely-divided materials from lump materials said chamber being adapted for producing a fluid bed of finely-divided materials, and the bottom of this chamber has an attached chamber for receiving lump materials discharged from the separating chamber through a closing unloading device, said device being located in the bottom of this chamber at the point of attachment of the chamber for receiving lump materials; the receiving chamber also has a closing unloading device for lump materials. An advantage of the apparatus lies in that it allows the lump materials to be unloaded without stopping the entire installation of which it is a component part located between the calcinator and the cooler. The practical advantage of the apparatus is that it raises the economy of the installation as a whole by 15 - 18% as a result of a reduction in downtime.
