The present invention provides methods of treating an eye disorder. The methods comprise a step of locally administering a Clostridial toxin to the eye of a patient to treat the disorder. The eye disorder may be associated with an inflammation of the eye, including for example, bacterial conjunctivitis, fungal conjunctivitis, viral conjunctivitis, uveitis, keratic precipitates, macular edema, and inflammation response after intra-ocular lens implantation. The Clostridial toxin may be produced by a Clostridial beratti, a Clostridia butyricum, a Clostridial tetani bacterium and/or a Clostridial botulinum.

La présente invention se rapporte à des procédés de traitement d'un trouble oculaire. Ces procédés comprennent une étape d'administration locale d'une toxine chlostridiale sur l'oeil d'un patient afin de traiter le trouble. Ledit trouble oculaire peut être associé à une inflammation de l'oeil, et notamment par exemple, à une conjonctivite bactérienne, une conjonctivite fongique, une conjonctivite virale, une uvéite, une descemétite, un oedème maculaire et une réaction inflammatoire après implantation d'une lentille intraoculaire. La toxine chlostridiale peut être produite par une bactérie du type chlostridiale bératti, chlostridiale butyricum, chlostridiale tétani et/ou chlostridiale botulinum.
