A closure cap (20) and method of making the same wherein an annular or ring- shaped gasket (32) is injection molded onto the inner surface (23) of a cap shell (22) formed of plastic or metal. The annular or ring-shaped gasket includes radially extending tabs (37,38) integrally formed therewith, one of said tabs (37) being formed at a location wherein the plastic melt is fed to an annular gasket-forming channel (67) in a mold core (52) and another of said tabs (38) being formed at the location wherein plastic melt is discharged from said channel. Preferably, said other tab includes a cold well formation (73) which communicates with the annular gasket through a connecting portion (74) of reduced cross-sectional area with respect to the cross-sectional areas of both the gasket and the cold well formation.
Cette invention concerne un bouchon (20) et son procédé de fabrication, lequel procédé consiste à mouler par injection un joint annulaire ou torique (32) sur la surface intérieure d'une coquille de bouchon (32) en plastique ou en métal. Le joint annulaire ou torique comporte des ergots intégrés (37,38) orientés radialement, dont l'un (37) est formé au point d'injection du plastique en fusion dans une canal annulaire (67) du noyau de moule (52), et un autre (38) au point d'évacuation du plastique moulé hors dudit canal. Ce dernier ergot comprend de préférence un passage formé à froid (73) qui communique avec le joint annulaire par l'intermédiaire d'une partie de liaison (74) de section réduite par rapport aux sections tant du joint que du passage formé à froid.
