Abstract: In an autoclave which can be charged with bulk material and has at its bottom a discharge opening to be closed by means of a cover , the cover can be opened inward. For preventing that the bulk material ob- structs the opening movement of the cover , a closure device is provided to shut off the cross-section of the autoclave, said closure device being opened only after the cover closing the discharge opening has started its opening movement.
