A closure device for closing a puncture wound has a distal section that can be placed against the interior wall of a vessel and a proximal section that bunches in the tissue tract to close the wound. One variation of the device provides for removing the distal section from the vessel so that it resides also in the tissue tract after the proximal section has been securely bunched and lodged within the tissue tract.

L'invention concerne un dispositif de fermeture servant à refermer une plaie perforante. Ce dispositif comprend une partie distale pouvant être placée contre la paroi intérieure d'un vaisseau et une partie proximale qui se replie sur elle-même dans la voie tissulaire pour refermer la plaie. En variante, le dispositif selon l'invention permet de retirer la partie distale du vaisseau de sorte qu'elle se trouve également dans la voie tissulaire après que la partie proximale a été repliée fixe et logée dans la voie tissulaire.
