A totally biodegradable and/or compostable soft cloth-like composite (110) of totally biodegradable and/or compostable film (30) and totally biodegradable and/or compostable nonwoven and method of manufacture. A totally biodegradable and/or compostable nonwoven fibrous web (40) and a totally biodegradable and/or compostable film (30) are laminated. The laminate is incrementally stretched by a stretcher (80) to produce a totally biodegradable and/or compostable laminate (110) that is softer than that produced when the biodegradable and/or compostable nonwoven web is bonded to the biodegradable and/or compostable film. The soft cloth-like features of the invention are desired in a number of applications including diapers, pants, surgical gowns, sheets, dressings, hygienic products, and the like.
L'invention concerne un composite (110) d'apparence textile doux, entièrement biodégradable et/ou compostable, composé d'un film (30) entièrement biodégradables et/ou compostable et d'un non-tissé entièrement biodégradable et/ou compostable, ainsi qu'un procédé de fabrication. Une bande (40) fibreuse en non-tissé entièrement biodégradable et/ou compostable et un film (30) entièrement biodégradable et/ou compostable sont laminés. Le laminé obtenu est étiré progressivement par un dispositif (80) d'étirage, pour produire un laminé (110) entièrement biodégradable et/ou compostable plus doux que celui obtenu après assemblage de la bande de non tissé au film. Les qualités de douceur et d'apparence textile qui confère l'invention sont demandées dans un grand nombre d'applications, parmi lesquelles les couches, les pantalons, les blouses de chirurgien, draps, pansements, produits hygiéniques etc.
